Off Limits
Much of life is off-limits
We are stuck with five senses
And they don't work that well
More often than not
They scarcely work at all
Can you see through a wall?
Get the colours clocked by a starling?
Plunge as deep as a dolphin?
Sing as exquisitely as a lark?
You know the answer
You're limited
Very limited
So what about death?
Aha
And aha again
So much of life is off-limits
So what about death and its limits?
We do know...
Energy is never destroyed
And the energy that moves on
May not be off-limits at all
It may be everywhere
And nowhere
Simultaneously
Let's face it
While so much of life is off limits
So much of death looks like
A mystery
Something not understood
It could be
Sacred fun and celestial freedom
While you and I
Are busily occupied
Being off-limits
