All the readings on this website are written by interfaith minister Anthea Ballam. Based in Sussex, Anthea has been a professional writer all her life. After being ordained as an interfaith minister in 2007, she developed her ministry by supporting people at the time of their bereavement, working as a funeral celebrant. Whenever it proved difficult to find the right reading for a funeral, she would write words that specifically answered the needs of the family and friends of the deceased.
The website now contains over 100 funeral readings and continues to grow.
Anthea is the Chair of the Interfaith Contact Group of Brighton & Hove and has served as Chaplain to the Mayor of Brighton and Hove from 2016 to 2017. She is currently Chaplain to the Mayor, and will remain in this capacity until May 2020.
